Product Overview
The ProSafe™ JGS524F gigabit switch with fiber connectivity affordably upgrades departments, workgroups or growing office environments needing increased speed and networking distance.
Gigabit & Fiber Connectivity
The JGS524F unmanaged network switch features 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports, each capable of powering 2000 Mbps of data throughput in full duplex mode and up to 48 Gbps of backplane bandwidth. This gigabit switch also provides two fiber ports for secure, long distance connections. As fiber connections are far less prone to interference than standard Ethernet cables, communications to the network's backbone or servers are better protected.
As with all NETGEAR switches, the JGS524F features Auto Uplink™ technology to adjust for straight through or crossover cables, in order to establish the correct connection. The JGS524F unmanaged switch is standards based for easy integration of Ethernet (10 Mbps), Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) and Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps).
Value for Money
The JGS524F is attractively priced to enable growing and small businesses to benefit from Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. The JGS524F is affordable enough to deliver Gigabit connectivity straight to the desktop. Furthermore, the built in fiber slots enable offices to secure long distance data connections without costing the earth.
Ease of Use
The JGS524F unmanaged switch operates as soon as it is turned on, no configuration is required. This switch is compact enough for a desktop, but also arrives with a rack mount kit for easy rack mounting on a wall, and it allows you to easily combine 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps Ethernet devices within your unmanaged network.
